The 2023 Understanding China Conference (UCC) is being held in Guangzhou from December 1 to 3.
The three-day conference sheds light on topics such as the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI), AI, digital economy, new energy, international cooperation, and the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area (GBA).
Martin Jacques, Visiting Professor of Tsinghua University, said that GBA has “miracle firms” such as Huawei and BYD that attracting young generation talents, “GBA has very different culture for the global talents, which could be a barrier as well as attractiveness. GBA also need to involve well-known tech figures investing in the area to attract global talents.”
