Yu Dong, Founder, Chairman, and General Manager of Bona Film Group, said that China’s annual capability of producing feature films has steadily risen to the second place in the world over the last decade.
Yu pointed out that over the past ten years, China’s box offices in the cinema market have seen a rapid growth. “In 2019, we had hit a box office of RMB 64.2 billion, securing our position as the world’s second largest film market. Our audience, movie attendance, has surpassed the North America (region). In 2019, the total number reached 1.73 billion, No.1 in the world.”
