This year marks the 75th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China. On Sunday (Sept. 29), Guangdong Province hosted a National Day reception attended by heads of missions and their spouses, representatives of Guangdong's sister states and provinces, awardees of Guangdong Friendship Awards, foreign enterprises, financial institutes, chamber of commerce, and other distinguished guests.
Since its establishment in 1949, the People's Republic of China has transformed from an underdeveloped nation into the world's second-largest economy. As one of the first provinces to open up, Guangdong has played a pivotal role during several key historical moments. Can it continue to maintain its leading position in the years to come?
