Lesley Lim Ai Li, the current captain of the KL Barbarians Dragon Boat Team from Malaysia, stated that participating in the competition in China has been a very interesting experience during the 2024 Guangzhou International Dragon Boat Invitational Tournament.
"It's very memorable for us," she said. She explained that the team was established in 2011 and has a history of 13 years. This time, they will be competing in the women's 22-person race. "Yesterday we tasted the water, so we're praying that the weather will be good today. In any case, we are very grateful to the organizers for inviting us to participate."
The 2024 Guangzhou International Dragon Boat Invitational Tournament was held on the Pearl River between the Square of Sun Yat-Sen University North Entry and Guangzhou Bridge in Guangzhou on June 16.
