GDToday Salon "An Encounter with Marco Polo" recently kicked off. Consulates from 29 countries in Guangzhou attended the event. Chinese and Italian artists engaged in a dialogue across the distance. Friends from various countries shared experiences in their fields. 22 Cantonese cuisines were served together with Italian foods to participants. More than 30 Lingnan intangible cultural heritages masterpieces amazed the audience, followed by the restaging of the original opera Marco Polo in the Guangzhou Opera. The landmark building of Guangzhou, the "Slim Waist" Canton Tower, was lit up for the event.
