As the saying goes, “The night of White Dew and Autumn Equinox, one night is colder than the one before”. Falling around September 7th, White Dew indicates the real beginning of cool autumn. The host, Vivian Ma makes seasonal and healthy chestnut cakes to share with Mr. Kurtulus Aykan, Consul General of the Republic of Türkiye in Guangzhou and his wife, Ms. Tulu Icozu.
They make white dew tea together with the process of intangible cultural heritage, "Dian Cha of Song Dynasty", and talk about how tea came into Türkiye from China through the ancient Silk Road, so that it has developed into a daily average of ten cups of tea for every Turkish person. Türkiye also has become the world's first major consumer of tea.
In return, Mr. Kurtulus invites Vivian to make Turkish Puf Bread in a traditional stone oven in the Turkish restaurant and enjoy local Turkish dishes together. They discuss why Turkish people won’t feel homesick though living far away from their hometown. Besides, Ms. Tulu sings a sweet and moving Turkish opera, which impresses and touches a lot.
Located at the two ends of the ancient Silk Road, China and Türkiye have strong historical ties with each other. Today, the two countries will continue to boost their friendship and cooperation for common prosperity.
