The inaugural ceremony of the GDToday Think Tank (GDTT) and the International Communication Seminar on “Understanding the Greater Bay Area” took place on December 4 at the Understanding China Conference in Guangzhou, Guangdong Province.
"The world economy is not a zero-sum game", said Yves Leterme, former Prime Minister of Belgium, during the seminar, noting that based on lessons from the past, the solution is not to stay behind tariffs but to engage in competition, to work together with regions all over the globe to gain a better future. He further noted that the initiative to establish the GDToday Think Tank is excellent and part of the solutions for the future.
The GDToday Think Tank is a media-driven think tank established by Nanfang Media Group. It plays a pivotal role in the Group’s efforts to drive the integrated development of GDToday, the Group’s international media organization.
The think tank’s core focus areas include conducting regional and country-specific studies, as well as analyzing the global landscape of public opinion. GDTT produces and publishes research reports, organizes forums and salons, and hosts various events, such as international economic, trade, and cultural exchange activities. By cultivating a cohesive international 'circle of friends' who understand and support China, GDTT aims to provide valuable insights and strategic recommendations to advance the high-quality development of international communication.
