On July 4, the High-Quality Development Conference of the Low-altitude Economy in Guangdong was held in Guangzhou, bringing together more than 300 experts, enterprises, and government representatives in the field of low-altitude economy.
Academician Liu Daxiang, a noted aerodynamics specialist and member of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, emphasized the pivotal role of general aviation in driving high-quality economic growth under China's dual circulation strategy. He underscored its potential as a new economic catalyst, following sectors including real estate, automobiles, and high-speed railways.
President Zhao Qi of HELI-EASTERN (Shenzhen) Co., Ltd., expressed optimism about the Greater Bay Area's potential to lead China in low-altitude economic development. He cited the region's favorable airspace conditions and burgeoning industrial ecosystem as key factors.
Li Zhigeng, Vice President of XAG Technology, highlighted advancements in agricultural drone technology, noting significant cost reductions that have expanded market access across more than 60 countries. He attributed these achievements to technological upgrades and supply chain optimization.
Zhao Deli, Founder of XPENG AEROHT Company, likened the growth trajectory of low-altitude economy to that of new energy automobiles, foreseeing widespread adoption and integration into urban transport networks. He emphasized the critical role of a robust supply chain anchored in the Pearl River Delta's industrial prowess.
Among the notable events at the conference were the establishment ceremony of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Low-altitude Economic Development Strategic Advisory Committee, signaling a collaborative effort to enhance regional economic integration.
Additionally, the Guangdong Province Low-altitude Economic Industry Development Company was officially launched, along with an important moment in the formation of the Greater Bay Area Low-altitude Economic Industry Alliance.
The conference also witnessed on-site signings of various low-altitude economic projects, demonstrating substantial investment and commitment towards realizing the sector's potential.
