Sérgio Pantie, Head of the Parliamentary Delegation of the Mozambique Liberation Front (FRELIMO), praised China's efforts in showcasing its green development model and policies. "China has shown the world its green development model, green development policies, and how to involve people in the green development work," he stated, underscoring the importance of environmental protection in national development and poverty reduction.
Pantie emphasized the priority of protecting the environment and sustainably conserving natural resources, acknowledging that China sets a commendable example in this regard.
Addressing challenges in Mozambique, Pantie mentioned ongoing issues such as forest fires and the impact of climate change, which frequently result in destructive cyclones. He expressed gratitude for China's support during severe cyclonic events. "China has been there for us," he acknowledged, affirming China's role as a supportive partner in times of natural disasters. Pantie also reiterated China's exemplary role in environmental stewardship and international cooperation.
