After over seven years of meticulous construction, the much-anticipated Shenzhen-Zhongshan Link is on the verge of opening to traffic.
To ensure everything is ready for the opening, the project is in its final phase, focusing on integrating and testing equipment, and completing the remaining construction tasks.
This mega cross-sea project spans 24 kilometers and comprises an undersea tunnel, two bridges, and two artificial islands. Once operational, it will slash the travel time between Shenzhen and Zhongshan from the current two hours to under 30 minutes.
The Shenzhen-Zhongshan Link has achieved numerous world records in its design and construction process in terms of project scale, advanced technology, construction difficulty and efficiency.
