A robust cold front hit Guangdong, and the province seemed to have entered winter overnight. On the morning of December 16th, the Lianshan Zhuang and Yao Autonomous County and Lianzhou -- the two places administered by the city of Qingyuan -- witnessed their first snowfall this winter. Jinzi Mountain, Lianshan County’s renowned "snow resort of Lingnan," was blanketed in the pristine beauty of snow, captivating the attention of numerous tourists.
According to Lianshan's spokesperson, the snowfall began before dawn. Later in the morning, the entire area had transformed into a winter wonderland, with the temperature plummeting to minus three degrees Celsius. In Xinba, a village in Sanshui Yao Township of Lianzhou, snow the size of rice grains gently descended, adorning rooftops and vehicles with a delicate layer of white.
From December 16th to 19th, most parts of Guangdong will be mainly overcast and cold. The weather is expected to turn clear and cold from the daytime on the 20th. As the cold air is here, below are some tips to keep yourself and your family safe.
