The grand opening of the 2024 Xihu Flower Market took place on Xihu Road in the Yuexiu District, Guangzhou on February 6th. The opening ceremony will continue until 2 a.m. on February 10th, during which various exciting activities will be held.

On the eve of the market opening, the illuminated main archway created a dazzling scene in harmony with the bustling Beijing Road commercial area.
This year, the Xihu Flower Market is held on the Xihu Road and Jiaoyu Road again, carrying on the tradition of being the century-old flower market from Yuexiu. The market on site featured intricate replicas of famous ancient architectures. Typical examples are the main archway designed like the Gongbei Tower and a central flower bed that draws inspiration from the Guangdong Gongyuan, one of the imperial examination halls during the Ming and Qing dynasties. All these embody a unique sense of historical significance, attracting residents to take photos.

At the stall of the Nanyue King Museum, there are more than twenty cultural and creative products for Chinese New Year specifically created for the traditional flower market, such as "Xiao Yu" inspired by the dancing figurine-like Nanyue jade and "Good Luck Windmills".
