As the old saying goes, relishing white radish in winter and ginger in summer. On Summer Solstice, when the Northern Hemisphere sees the longest day of the year, Vivian Ma is going to visit Ms. Rebekah Mawson, New Zealand Consul General in Guangzhou, presenting her with Shawan specialty——ginger milk curd.
They will taste the sparkle of spicy ginger and sweet milk, and talk about how the upgraded Free Trade Agreement which was put into effect in April this year, brings more cooperation opportunities for our two countries.
Summer Solstice in the Northern Hemisphere, coincides with Maori New Year in New Zealand’s winter in the Southern Hemisphere. In a celebration BBQ party, Ms. Rebakah Mawson is going to invite Vivian Ma to taste natural New Zealand food of high quality. Rebekah will tell her guest the stories of Matariki and the core of New Zealand’s distinguished agriculture. Meanwhile, they will discuss the potential opportunities for China and New Zealand to work together on environment protection in the future.
As harbored in the Chinese philosophy of “maintaining harmony in the universe”, we follow the laws of nature in shaping our local cultures. While pursuing development, we will continue to explore all opportunities for cooperation to achieve a harmonious coexistence.
