Bravo! The art of freestyle shuttlecock in Guangzhou's park

Against the backdrop of the blue sky and the lush greenery of trees, a shuttlecock flies overhead and gracefully arcs. People gather in groups of four, jumping, kicking, and spinning around. This is the morning scene at Liwan Lake Park in Guangzhou.

Every day, people gather here to play shuttlecock (Jianzi), a traditional Chinese sport where players use their feet, knees, and other body parts except their hands to keep a weighted shuttlecock with feathers in the air.

While strolling around the parks in Guangzhou, you will encounter these shuttlecock masters and be amazed by their techniques.
