Speaking of Former US Secretary of State Henry Kissinger, Li Cheng, Founding Director of the Centre on Contemporary China and the World (CCCW) at the University of Hong Kong, was choking with sorrow.
As a student of Kissinger, Li has kept a close relationship with Kissinger since 2004.
“Richard Nixon and Henry Kissinger ended the Cold War,” Li Cheng said during the 2023 Understanding China Conference held on December 1.
He also noted the importance of Kissinger’s views on the co-evolution of China and the United States, who believed that the world has changed significantly, and the two countries are equally powerful.
