Guangdong showcases innovative services at 2024 CIFTIS

The Guangdong pavilion at the 2024 China International Fair for Trade in Services (CIFTIS), held in Beijing from September 12 to 16, is a testament to the province's commitment to innovation and global sharing, attracting the attention of participants at home and abroad.

With the theme "Guangdong Services, Globally Shared," the pavilion highlights the latest in digital technology, industrial design, cultural trade, financial, educational services, and more.

Companies like Guangzhou Chenchuang Technology Development Co., Ltd. are demonstrating the practical applications of artificial intelligence and the Internet of Things. Chenchuang Technology, a leader in low-altitude economy infrastructure and public safety, is showcasing its multi-scenario three-dimensional security system, which represents the leading level among similar domestic products. "This is our second time at CIFTIS," said the company representative. "We hope to use this global platform to showcase our new ideas and solutions in the low-altitude economy, public safety, and smart civil aviation."

Apart from advanced technologies, Guangdong is also known for its cultural heritages. The Guangdong pavilion this time features a cultural trade section which includes leading companies like WinSing Animation, the creator of the famous animation IP GG Bond. Jenny, Director of Public Affairs at WinSing Animation, introduced that the company's original works have been translated into over 10 languages and have been broadcast in more than 60 countries and regions worldwide. She noted that CIFTIS is a platform for Guangdong companies to reach out to more international clients.

As a first for the Guangdong pavilion, financial and educational services are being featured at this year's CIFTIS, reflecting the province's emphasis on service trade talent cultivation and financial technology development. Knowledge-intensive service trade, characterized by digitization, intelligence, and green practices, is now becoming a new engine and driving force for the development of Guangdong's service trade.

In 2023, the province's service trade import and export reached 158.69 billion USD, ranking second in the nation, while in the first half of 2024, it reached 89.36 billion USD, with a year-on-year increase of 14.1%, accounting for 17.6% of the national total.

With 39 entities from 10 cities in Guangdong forming the Guangdong pavilion in the 2024 CIFTIS, Guangdong has fully demonstrated its innovation and achievements in trade in services to the world.
