Friendship builds in sports, the 13th Guangzhou Friendship Games held

In 2025, the 15th National Games will be held in Guangdong, Hong Kong, and Macao. In preparation for the Games, the 13th Guangzhou Friendship Games were held, attracting over 1,000 friendly participants from 59 countries and regions. The Paris Olympic fencing champion in women's individual epee, Kong Man Wai, was invited as a special guest to the event. She said, "What matters most is being happy, friendship first, competition second."

The sports event features six competitive events, including basketball, seven-a-side football, tennis, badminton, table tennis, and bowling. On the field, they connect through sports, sweating and striving together, displaying their prowess and fostering friendship. Parham, an international student at Southern Medical University, participated in the table tennis competition. He said that in China, Xu Xin is his favorite table tennis player, as both of them are left-handed players. He won the third prize in the competition and wished that he could win the gold medal next year.

In addition, the event also hosts the 15th National Games Theme Fun Sports, organizing activities such as Crazy Ping-Pong, Patterned Shuttlecock, and Rotating Hula Hoop, which are suitable for public participation and full of life's fun. This further increases the involvement of Chinese and foreign friends in the activities.
