Chang'an Thailand Manufacturing Base in Rayong to start production

On May 14, Thailand Prime Minister Paetongtarn Shinawatra met with the delegation led by Zhu Huarong, Chairman of Chang'an Automobile.

2025 marks the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Thailand. This meeting is expected to open up a new path for in-depth cooperation between China and Thailand in the automotive industry.

With the start of production at ChangAn Automobile Rayong Factory on May 16 in Thailand, its 28,590,000th vehicle globally is about to roll off the production line. The factory is not only the first overseas new energy vehicle facility of the company, but also the first one established by China's centrally administered State-owned enterprises.

The company has launched two major brands, DEEPAL and AVATR, in Thailand, unveiling a number of products such as the DEEPAL S07 and AVATR 11. This marks a crucial step for the "Yu Auto Going Global" strategy in the Southeast Asian market.

In addition to building a new energy vehicle production base, Chang'an has established multiple entities in areas such as marketing and parts in Thailand. In the future, Chang'an Automobile will continue to focus on the local market to drive the development of Thailand's automotive industry chain.
