A rare lotus blossom was spotted for the first time at the Lotus Mountain in Panyu District, Guangzhou, attracting many visitors. This flower, growing on one stalk, has two complete stamen clusters on the same corolla.

At the Lotus Mountain, such a peculiar situation of two stamen clusters growing in a single corolla has only occurred on water lilies before. The twin-stamen lotus flower discovered this time, which belongs to Nelumbo 'Qiuri Honghua', a new cultivar of Asian lotus, is much less common.
