The 2023 Zhejiang Taizhou (Xianju, Wenling) Tourism Promotion Fair was held in Guangzhou on November 29. Hundreds of people, including representatives from the cultural and tourism departments of Guangzhou and Taizhou, travel agencies, and media, gathered together to explore cooperation opportunities.
Taizhou, a city located in the middle coastal area of Zhejiang Province, is renowned for its attractions such as Tiantai Mountain and Xianju House. This city is celebrated for its stunning natural beauty and diverse cultural landscape. Tiantai Mountain holds great significance as the birthplace of the Tendai School of Buddhism and is considered one of the revered mountains of the South Sect of Chinese Taoism. Adorned with ancient temples, the mountain exudes a fairytale-like charm. Another must-visit destination is Shenxian House, aptly named "home of the immortals." This 5A scenic spot boasts the world's largest volcanic rhyolite landform and is surrounded by picturesque mountains and a captivating sea of clouds.
The urban area of Taizhou consists of Jiaojiang, Huangyan and Luqiao Districts, with two county-level cities of Linhai and Wenling, and four counties of Yuhuan, Tiantai, Xianju and Sanmen. During the event, representatives of Wenling City and Xianju County gave slide and video presentations to introduce their beautiful scenery and local specialties.
Lou Yufei, representative of Wenling City, recommends that Wenling is the excavation site of Dong'ou Ancient Country, backed up by lush, forest-covered mountains and facing the vast sea. Wenling has had frequent exchanges with Guangzhou for a long time. Lou hopes that through this fair, both places can promote further cooperation in cultural souvenirs and tourism routes in the future.
Yang Hancheng, representative of Xianju County, explains that with the improvement of traffic conditions in recent years, the county has seen an increasing number of tourists from Guangdong. He welcomes all friends to experience the life of an immortal in Xianju County.
Performers from Taizhou also presented wonderful shows at the fair, such as Taizhou instrument playing, the Wenling "New Horse Race" Erhu concerto, and Xianju folk songs, allowing visitors to fully experience the charm of Taizhou.
