Killer whales spotted in South China Sea

Recently, two killer whales are spotted by the crew of China National Offshore Oil Corporation (CNOOC) Shenzhen Branch. These lovely creatures were swimming and playing near the waters of the oilfield in eastern South China Sea.

Killer whales are on China's second-level national protected wild animal list. They have high intelligence quotient and are kind to human beings.

According to CNOOC Shenzhen Branch, the company has been committed to protecting the marine ecosystem and increasing the input of energy conservation and environmental protection. Additionally, it has been enhancing technology innovation and optimizing the production process of offshore facilities. The waters therefore have attracted a wide variety of marine animals, such as whales and dolphins, to settle down.
