Highlights of the ongoing tourism expo in Guangzhou

The 2021 China (Guangdong) International Tourism Industry Expo (CITIE) is in full swing at the China Import and Export Fair Complex from September 10 to 12. Have you attended this colorful cultural and tourist feast? The following are some highlights of this Expo, come and have a look.

The International Culture and Tourism Area invites exhibitors from many countries around the world, setting up special exhibition halls for various continents and regions such as Europe, Africa, America and Pacific Island countries.

Malta and Croatia make their debut in the European Exhibition Hall. South Korea attends with Gyeonggi Province, Gangwon Province, Jeju Island as well as five formerly less-popular tourism cities to exhibit its tourist resources. Japan features its Awa dance performance and Japanese-style mask hand-painting activities. Philippines brings its local desserts as well as some coconut-related products such as coconut oil and coconut water.

With a series of technologies such as naked eye 3D, AR and VR, visitors are able to experience cultural activities and scenic spots online at the Digital Culture and Tourism Area showcasing digital cultural and tourist products. Visitors can also immerse themselves into the Expo by joining in the interactive games, viewing physical displays and watching on-site videos.

Together with its 12 member corporations, Guangdong Xinghai Performing Arts Group makes its first appearance at the Expo this year. It focuses on theme performances in the fields of cultural exposition, intangible cultural heritage, tourism and CPC revolutionary stories.

If you are fond of the scenery of the ancient post road, where ancient villages, roads, passages, piers and bridges are integrated to form a unique cultural belt of ancient post roads, come to the South China Historical Trail Area. The area also displays the works with related products of the South China Historical Trail Cultural and Creative Competition.

China Green Development Group also makes its debut at the Expo, mainly displaying its green cultural tourist products. Its special scenes featuring domestic scenic spots, such as Changbai Mountain, Qiandao Lake and Jiuzhaigou Scenic Area, have attracted many visitors to take a look and experience.
