This white lion is named "A Hang" in Guangzhou Zoo and is 13 years old. Many netizens thought that the weather is hot, and the breeder cut a straight bang for A Hang. But the breeder of Guangzhou Zoo said that when A Hang came to Guangzhou Zoo, it already had this cute appearance! "It is 100% natural. Its bang style is actually created by the wind, so its hairstyle may change every day." The breeder said.
A Hang is a white lion, a rare color mutation of the lion, specifically the Southern African lion. White lions are not albinos. Their white color is caused by a recessive trait, called leucism, derived from a less-severe mutation in the same gene that causes albinism, distinct from the gene responsible for white tigers. They vary from blonde to near-white. This coloration does not appear to pose a disadvantage to their survival.

Guangzhou Zoo has been committed to protecting these rare wild creatures for many years, and is also encouraging residents of Guangzhou to come to the zoo to say hi to A Hang and other animals.
