How does an expat feel after living in Guangdong for 7 years?

"I've been living in Guangdong province for seven years, and Guangdong is part of my life now," said Rafael Saavedra, a YouTube content creator from Venezuela. As a keen traveler, he has visited quite a few cities in Guangdong and has been showing the world his life here through short videos.

Saavedra's sharing is featured in an entry of the event "My Guangdong Story" Global Solicitation for Short Videos, titled "My Guangdong story and why my deep feelings for China".

In the past few years, Saavedra visited Qianhai International Talent Hub in Shenzhen, enjoyed morning tea and visited Yongqing Fang in Guangzhou, picked tangerines in Shaoguan, and enjoyed the stunning scenery in Qingyuan... He has made plenty of Vlogs to record these tours, guiding the audience to feel the modernization and unique culture of this province. "Every place I've been to has something remarkable to show, to create content, to show to my viewers on every platform," said Saavedra.

When talking about his favorite part of Guangdong, Saavedra thought it was hard to decide. "Maybe the people, the food, the landscape, the weather," he said, "I don't know. I think I just like it all."

"I enjoy a lot the noise and the energy of big metropolises like Shenzhen and Guangzhou, but I also love the calm and the harmony of places like Shaoguan, Heyuan, or Qingyuan." In Saavedra's opinion, Guangdong is a synonym for technology, innovation, and creativity, while it is a place of natural beauty as well.

Having lived in many other cities around the world, Saavedra believes that Guangdong is one of the places with the highest vitality and dynamism. "Old and new generations work together, working hard to make this a prosperous land. You can tell that a very good job is being done here."
