From February 12th to 14th, a Shantou Theme Day was held at the 2022 Beijing Media Center. 1,770 journalists at the Beijing Media Center and guests from home and abroad could enjoy the charm and cultural characteristics of Shantou.

The Shantou 2021 Asian Youth Games will be held in Shantou in east Guangdong from December 20 to 28 this year, with 21 competitions including diving, swimming and water polo.
The exhibition give visitors a glimpse to the east Guangdong city, on its culture and its preparation for the upcoming games.
The city’s intangible cultural heritage inheritors of Chaoshan Kungfu tea, seal engraving, Chaoyang paper-cutting and Chaozhou embroidery hook flower come to the site to demonstrate their magical skills. Participants are invited to experience the unique Lingnan culture and Chaoshan culture through this in-depth experience.
For the city’s whole picture, Shaotou prepared a video for the visitors, showing the culture of the hometown of overseas Chinese, coastal scenery and various sports scenes from multiple angles.
