SZ firm unveils world’s 1st software robot

The world's first software robot for microservices, which could be an industry game-changer, made its debut at a product launch event in Shenzhen on Tuesday, Shenzhen Economic Daily reported.

The software robot, called SoFlu, was developed by Qianhai Feisuan Yunzhi Software Technology (Shenzhen) Co. Ltd., which aims to become a global leading Chinese-made software engineering co-creation platform.

"The software industry is highly dependent on manpower, which leads to low efficiency and poor software development quality," Chen Dingwei, president of Feisuan Yunzhi, said at the product launch event. “Enterprises can only move forward with digital transformation if the above problems are solved.”

Software development automation, according to Chen, is undoubtedly the digital wave's general trend, and SoFlu is changing the industry.

By applying visualization in software development, SoFlu can realize complex programming logic by dragging components, replacing the manual code under the traditional development mode, and ensuring the standard specification and high quality of the code while reducing costs and increasing efficiency, the company said.

David Patterson, an American computer pioneer and academic who received the Turing Award in 2017, has given the software robot a thumbs-up, claiming that it has greatly improved work efficiency and made a significant contribution to software development automation, according to the company.

It is reported that SoFlu has provided technical services to hundreds of businesses and institutions in eight industries, including finance, health care and retail, after over a year of updating and improvement.
