The Guangdong 21st Century Maritime Silk Road International Expo will kick off in Zone A of the Canton Fair Complex on June 2, lasting for three days, according to the Department of Commerce of Guangdong Province at the latest press conference.

In the meantime, the theme forum of the Guangdong 21st Century Maritime Silk Road International Expo will be held at the Guangzhou Yuexiu International Congress Center on June 1, featuring a theme conference, five concurrent sessions and two supporting events.
This year's Expo features a silk road e-commerce exhibition, three comprehensive exhibition areas for international cooperation and exchanges, and high-quality international brands and foreign trade bases.

Covering an area of 50,000 square meters, the Expo will see over 1,000 enterprises attend, together with more than 70 supporting activities for cooperation and exchanges.
Saudi Arabia, the United Kingdom and Côte d'Ivoire will set up their national image exhibitions for the first time at this year's Expo. A total of 57 countries and regions are expected to attend the event, including 25 from Asia, 10 from America, nine from Africa, 11 from Europe and two from Oceania.
All 15 member countries of RCEP will participate. Several exhibitions will be set up to display the cultural and trade cooperation of RCEP countries, achievements of the China-Europe freight train, the friendship and cooperation of China and African countries, the friendship and cooperation of South Pacific countries as well as the culture and trade of Latin America.

High-quality imported brands from countries and regions along the Belt and Road will be showcased at the Expo, ranging from food and beverage, fashion beauty, and home appliances to personal care. At the same time, the exported commodities from Guangdong will also be displayed on live-streaming platforms to attract overseas buyers to place orders.
The theme forum will focus on topics such as strengthening cooperation with countries and regions along the Belt and Road in the fields of sci-tech innovation and bio-health, as well as promoting RCEP member states' involvement in the Belt and Road Initiative.

The concurrent sessions consist of Belt and Road Regional Cooperation Forum, Belt and Road Academician Forum, Health Silk Road International Cooperation Forum, Maritime Silk Road New Exhibition Economy Development Forum, as well as the Opening and Cooperation 30-member Forum. Supporting events include an export activity of new energy vehicles and the 2023 China-Arab Countries Enterprises Cooperation Fair.
More than 20 promotion events, people-to-people cultural exchanges, over 30 cross-border matchmaking events, and 20 forums and supporting activities will kick off during the Expo. Moreover, the Belt and Road International Young Leaders Forum will be held for the first time to build a bridge of exchange and cooperation between young leaders from countries and regions along the Belt and Road.
