Hengqin will be the next pilot China-Singapore cooperation project: Singaporean expert

On May 9, Abu Bakar Mohd Nor, the Chairman of Small & Medium Enterprises under Enterprise Singapore, was nominated as the “Global Investment Ambassador” at the 2023 Hengqin Global Investment Promotion Conference, responsible for introducing the preferential policies and business environment of Hengqin to the world.

“I am very honoured to be a part of this effort to develop Hengqin on the global stage,” Abu Bakar Mohd Nor said.

Abu Bakar Mohd Nor introduced that many Singaporean enterprises attended this conference to explore opportunities in Hengqin and Macao.

He furthered, Singapore and China enjoyed a very long-standing relationship. Taking China-Singapore Guangzhou Knowledge City, China-Singapore Tianjin Eco-City and Suzhou Industrial Park as examples, Abu Bakar Mohd Nor showed his confidence that Hengqin will become the next pilot project of China-Singapore cooperation.

“We can connect in Singapore and Hengqin on the health industry as a forefront of our strategy,” he said.
