On June 26, the China (Guangdong) Singapore Economic and Trade Cooperation Conference was held in Singapore, at which a delegation of the Guangdong-Macao In-Depth Cooperation Zone in Hengqin held a session to promote the Cooperation Zone.
At the event, Su Kun, Deputy Director of the Executive Committee of the Guangdong-Macao In-Depth Cooperation Zone in Hengqin, detailed the Cooperation Zone's business environment, including its industry and its strengths of attracting overseas investment.
Su said that it was the second time to visit Singapore for business promotion this year. Hengqin is looking forward to further cooperation with Singapore in bio-medicine, advanced manufacturing and other industries, and hopes to attract more high-quality resources and projects.
During the event, a number of Singaporean enterprise representatives said that they were very excited about the tax incentives of the Cooperation Zone and its supporting facilities for global talent. They were optimistic about the investment and development prospects of the Cooperation Zone.
This March, the Macao-Hengqin Joint Investment Promotion Delegation visited Singapore and arranged five investment promotion conferences. Later on May 9, Hengqin nominated Abu Bakar Mohd Nor, the Chairman of Small & Medium Enterprises under Enterprise Singapore, as the "Global Investment Ambassador" at the 2023 Hengqin Global Investment Promotion Conference.
Now, one Singaporean bio-pharmaceutical company plans to establish its R&D center in Hengqin, with the related matters being discussed.
