Yu Minhong, the rotating chairman of the Yabuli Forum and chairman of New Oriental Education & Technology Group, noted that Guangzhou, a city with a millennium of commercial glory and dreams, has long been a vital window for China's opening-up and a frontier for economic development. Today, Guangzhou continues to lead innovative development in the new era with an open and inclusive attitude.

During the government-business dialogues, several entrepreneurs shared their bond with Huangpu District. "Communicating with Huangpu's departments feels very cordial. They solve our problems like their own, and the investment promotion team is highly professional and efficient," said Tian Yuan, founder of the Yabuli Forum and chairman of Mevion.

In September 2023, Mevion signed an agreement with the Guangzhou Development District to establish its global headquarters, sales headquarters, and R&D and production base for a new generation of ultra-small proton equipment.

Li Dongsheng, founder and chairman of TCL, said that Guangzhou Development District and Huangpu District offer a superior business environment and ample room for development. They provide thoughtful services in project land acquisition, approvals, and other aspects to promote the rapid advancement of projects.

In September 2022, TCL invested 35 billion yuan in the Guangzhou Development District to construct a production line project for the 8.6th-generation oxide semiconductor display device. It is learned that the project took just 18 months from commencement to production.

Huang Hongsheng, founder of Skyworth Group and chairman of Skywell, has also expressed his commitment to pursuing sustainable and long-term growth within Guangzhou Development District.

Skyworth has been rooted in the district since 2007, investing in color TV factories and a South China headquarters building. In 2018, it invested over four billion yuan in the Sino-Singapore Guangzhou Knowledge City to construct a Skyworth Intelligent Industry Innovation Base, producing over 30 million TVs and a cumulative output value of over 90 billion yuan.

The sub-forums focused on topics such as internationalization, sustainable development, smart manufacturing, healthcare, innovation, and cutting-edge technology. During the smart manufacturing forum, participants discussed how to better forge new quality productive forces, use the robot industry as a crucial driver and explore ways to enhance robots' intelligence levels and expand their application scopes.

Thus far, Guangzhou Development District and Huangpu District have established five multi-billion-yuan industrial clusters in automobile manufacturing, new display technologies, green energy, new materials, and beauty & healthcare, as well as three 50-billion-yuan clusters in biopharmaceuticals, high-end equipment, and integrated circuits, ranking second among China's top 100 industrial districts.
