"This is our first time to attend an overseas fair. We have been exporting our products to Europe, the United States and the Middle East. Alan and the other 269 business representatives from 140 Guangdong companies will attend the China HomeLife Dubai 2022 Fair. It will be held at Dubai World Trade Centre from December 19 to December 21. This trade delegation is the biggest of its kind in China over the past few years.

Covering an exhibition area of up to 30,000 square meters, China HomeLife is the biggest Chinese products sourcing expo in the Middle East. Among the 1,450 booths, 560 is taken by 506 Guangdong companies, showcasing products for apparel, house furnishing materials, beauty and lifestyle, electronics, and more.

With nearly 50 new product samples and all kinds of posters, catalogue, and brochures, Alan hopes to land more international orders for her company during the upcoming trade fair.

Like Alan, it is also the first time for Celina Wong, the sales director from Shenzhen Fumot Technology Co., Ltd., to take a chartered flight to attend the fair. To improve its brand awareness and forge more partnerships overseas, she has brought the favorite disposable vaping pens of customers in Dubai and some of the company's latest products to the fair.

"The strong support from the government has given companies like us the sense of security and confidence in going abroad and further tapping into the foreign trade market," said Laura Liu, overseas general manager of Guangdong Juncheng Printing Technology Co., Ltd.

According to Joyce Zhang, general manager of the international cooperation center of Meorient in South China for the Dubai expo, the UAE is China's second largest trading partner as well as an important regional hub under the Belt and Road Initiative. Guangdong has taken the lead in supporting local companies taking the chartered flight to participate in the fair and to seize the great business opportunities there. This will not only facilitate their travel but also lower various costs.

Garis International Hardware Produce Co., Ltd. is also one of the exhibitors. "Our clients in Dubai are very excited that we are coming to the fair. Many of them have agreed to meet us on the spot. To get more exposure abroad, we have already signed up for 5 to 8 overseas expos next year," said Cam Chen, sales manager at the company.

This is another Guangdong delegation under the "Cantonese Business Go Global" (CBGG) initiative launched by the Department of Commerce of Guangdong Province. From September to November this year, the province had sent many trade delegations overseas to countries including Germany, Malaysia, and Singapore.
