On April 11, the government affairs service performance index was launched by Guangzhou Municipal Government Affairs Data Administration to accurately score the services provided by various departments in all districts and to enhance work efficiency as well as the business environment.

“The performance index includes 4 dimensions, that is, service quality, service ability, convenience level and service efficiency. There are 14 evaluation indicators at the city level and 12 at the district level. The evaluation will be conducted every two months and be released in the form of a brief report. This will initially help establish a special government affairs service assessment system in Guangzhou that is based on the performance index,” said authorities from Guangzhou Municipal Government Affairs Data Administration.

The work process will be streamlined to focus more on serving the people and the online service platform will be optimized to make sure people’s demands are met in time.

In addition, as the digital development is in full swing, the online indicators are set to promote the full utilization of 5G and AI technologies across districts in Guangzhou. Through online service windows and seats, members of the public and businesses can get remote video guidance and approval without meeting offline.

As the evaluation criterion of government work, the performance index fully reflects Guangzhou’s objectives to speed up online and offline service integration and further enhance the service experience for the general public.

In recent years, Guangzhou has been deepening the government affairs service reform with its integrated public service ability ranking top among other major cities in the country.
