The Guangdong Theme Day of the 2023 China International Fair for Trade in Services (CIFTIS), was held on the afternoon of September 2 in Beijing, showcased the province’s achievements in the field of service trade, attracting more than 300 attendants from various provinces and service enterprises.

The event unveiled 11 excellent cases of service trade in Guangdong in 2023 for their contributions to creating new models for digital trade, applying new technologies such as AI, cloud computing and big data to financial sectors, establishing export demonstration zone for traditional Chinese medicine services and promoting blockchain payment.
Guo Yile, deputy Secretary-General of the People's Government of Guangdong Province, pointed out that in 2022, the province's import and export volume in services sector reached 158.5 billion US dollars, accounting for 17.8 percent of the whole nationwide, of which the foreign trade volume of digital services was 82.05 billion US dollars, accounting for 20 percent of the country.
In addition, China (Guangdong) Pilot Free Trade Zone Nansha Area of Guangzhou, Guangzhou's Tianhe District, Guangdong Financial High-tech Zone and Dongguan Songshan Lake Hi-Tech Industrial Development Zone introduced their own development characteristics and business environment in the event to attract investment from both China and abroad.
Moreover, the 2023 Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Fair for Trade in Services is to be held from December 6 to 8, Li Chong, deputy mayor of Zhuhai, revealed on the theme day, inviting the attendants to participate in the event in Zhuhai.
