Celebrations of Cultural and Natural Heritage Day underway in Guangdong's Zhongshan

From June 11 to 14, Guangdong's celebrations of Cultural and Natural Heritage Day are underway in Zhongshan City, with a series of activities including an exhibition and a shopping festival.

The opening ceremony started with the dances and music listed as intangible cultural heritage items, such as Zhongshan Drunken Dragon Dance, Beihua Dance, Zhongshan Xianshui Songs and the long drum dance of China's Yao ethnic minority.

From June 11 to 25, a photo exhibition of the eighth batch of Guangdong's provincial intangible cultural heritage representative items is underway at the new venue of Zhongshan Museum. It displays the historical origin and cultural connotation of 115 items through both photos and texts. People can feel the charm of the diverse culture of Lingnan region, including Cantonese culture, Hakka culture, Chaoshan culture and Leizhou culture.

Till July 10, people can search "礼遇中山 (pinyin: li yu zhong shan)" on Taobao, Douyin and Xiaohongshu apps to enter the official online store of "2022 Guangdong Intangible Heritage Shopping Festival Mall", featuring local specialties, traditional handicrafts and other intangible cultural heritage products. In addition, citizens and tourists can also receive consumption coupons at the official online stores on Taobao and Douyin until July 10.
