From March 18, the flexible travel service of the Guangzhou-Shenzhen-Hong Kong Express Rail Link will be extended to Shenzhen North Railway Station.
To meet the increasing travel demand, about 200 additional trains will be operated from Futian Station in Shenzhen to West Kowloon Station in Hong Kong starting from March 15. The number of trains to be increased on the following dates is as follows.
Passengers can enjoy free ticket changes up to three times on the same day of departure with a valid ticket from either Shenzhen North or Futian Station to West Kowloon Station in Hong Kong, or vice versa.
Ticket changes should be made no later than one hour after the departure time of the current ticket and no later than 15 minutes before the departure time of the preferred train.
To provide a better travel experience, the railway authorities have diversified the options, including flexible ticket changes and multi-ride tickets such as the "20-ride Ticket," which allows for 20 trips within 90 days, and the "30-day Ticket," which allows for 60 trips within 30 days.
The latest statistics show that more than 180 trains travel between Shenzhen and Hong Kong, with the number exceeding 200 on weekends and during holidays.
Since the flexible travel service was launched on August 14, 2023, the number of cross-border passengers has reached approximately 110,000.
