Shenzhen Airport sees 15.76 million passenger throughput in January - April

The passenger throughput of Shenzhen Bao’an International Airport reached 15.76 million in the first four months of 2023, ranking second in the country.

The Airport has been stepping up efforts to resume international flights so far this year, with its largest daily passenger throughput reaching 182,500. As of the end of May, 11 international and regional passenger routes have been resumed or added. 

The first Shenzhen-Rome flight took off from the Airport on May 28, marking the third European passenger route resumed after that to London and Paris. This direct flight is scheduled twice a week. 

In the coming June, Shenzhen airport will see a speedy recovery of international flights, including those to Sydney, Australia (June 16), Auckland, New Zealand (June 17), and Brussels, Belgium (June 21). 

By then, the international airline network of the Airport will connect the city with five continents across the world.
