Starting from March 1, the Foshan-Zhaoqing Intercity Railway and Dongguan-Huizhou Intercity Railway will begin implementing a new operation plan. Following a bus-like operation mode with stops at every station and express trains between major stations, this adjustment will extend the service time, optimize the stop plan, increase trains on the line, and shorten the average travel interval to 25 minutes.
After the adjustment, the Foshan-Zhaoqing Intercity Railway will operate 87 trains per day, an increase of 58 trains compared to the current number. The one-way travel time for express trains between major stations will be 45 minutes, and for trains stopping at every station it will be 64 minutes.
The Dongguan-Huizhou Intercity Railway will operate 80 trains daily, an increase of 41 trains from the current level. The one-way travel time for express trains between major stations will be 59 minutes and for trains stopping at every station it will be 94 minutes. The minimum running interval and the average running interval on both lines have been reduced to within 5 minutes and 25 minutes respectively, allowing passengers with tickets to leave as soon as possible when arriving at the station and to arrange their itineraries more flexibly.
Among them, express trains of the Foshan-Zhaoqing Intercity Railway will regularly stop at five major stations, including Foshan West, Sanshui North, Dawang, Dinghu East, and Zhaoqing. Express trains of the Dongguan-Huizhou Intercity Railway will regularly stop at six major stations, including Xiaojinkou, Chenjiang South, Changping South, Songshanhu North, Xiping West, and Dongguan West.
Passengers can check the specific train schedules through the WeChat official account "Guangdong Intercity" (Chinese: "广东城际") or the 12306 website or APP.
According to the new train timetable, the first and last trains from Foshan West Station of the Foshan-Zhaoqing Intercity Railway to Zhaoqing are at 6:30 and 21:35 respectively, with the all-day service time increased by about 1.5 hours. The first and last trains from Zhaoqing Station to Foshan West are at 6:00 and 22:50 respectively, with the all-day service time extended by about 3 hours.
The first and last trains at Dongguan West Station on the Dongguan-Huizhou Intercity Railway will depart as usual (with the first train at 6:20 and the last train at 21:50), while the first train at Xiaojinkou Station will leave at 6:15 and the last train at 21:35. The operating hours of trains from Xiaojinkou to Dongguan West in a day have been extended by approximately 1.5 hours.
