Guangzhou Financial City metro station will start operation in the middle of 2024. By then, it will take about 20 minutes to Guangzhou South Railway Station and Baiyun International Airport from the station, and 10 minutes to get to Zhujiang New Town, according to the latest project update on March 8.

Covering a total area of 80,000 square meters, the Financial City Square is a leading TOD (transit-oriented development) project. It will become a comprehensive transport hub including transfer channels, intercity metro lines, bus stations, and public parking lots.
According to the project authorities, once the intercity metro station opens, the daily average passenger flow is expected to reach over 150,000.
As part of Tianhe CBD, the Financial City forms a “Golden Triangle” with Zhujiang New Town and Pazhou International Convention & Exhibition Center. It will become the most dynamic economic engine in Guangzhou.
