On October 3, Guangdong reported 26 new locally-transmitted confirmed COVID-19 cases (10 in Guangzhou, 7 in Shenzhen, 2 in Foshan, 2 in Huizhou, 4 in Zhaoqing, and 1 in Qingyuan) and 16 new local asymptomatic infections (7 in Guangzhou, 4 in Shenzhen, 1 in Shantou, 1 in Huizhou, 2 in Dongguan, and 1 in Zhaoqing).
Guangzhou adds 10+7 new local cases
According to Guangzhou Municipal Health Commission, 17 cases were found among control group, with 10 confirmed cases and 7 asymptomatic cases. 9 cases were found among the close contacts under quarantine and 1 in the screening of key population. The patients have already been sent to the Eighth People's Hospital of Guangzhou Medical University for further treatment in stable conditions.

Shenzhen detects 7 new local cases and 4 asymptomatic cases
On October 3, according to Shenzhen Municipal Health Commission, 7 confirmed cases and 4 asymptomatic cases were reported. 6 cases were found among the close contacts under quarantine, 3 in domestic quarantine, and 2 in the screening of key population.
