Should we replace toothbrush after recovery from COVID-19?

Recently, a message spread on the internet that people who have recovered from COVID-19 should replace a new toothbrush, or they will retest positive.

Is this message true? Will the virus stay on clothes, cups or other daily necessities for a long time?

According to a research paper published by Kyoto University, Omicron variant can live on a plastic for 193.5 hours, which means, people still have a chance to get infected, if they have contact with the objects.

However, the antibody will be produced after recovery from COVID-19 and protect people from the virus. It is estimated that antibody will last 3 months maximum.

All in all, people do not need to replace toothbrushes, cups and other daily necessities after recovery from COVID-19.
