MLBB Super-Cup Invitational kicks off in Guangzhou

On May 1, the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB) Super-Cup Invitational commenced in Guangzhou, offering a top-tier competitive feast for global esports enthusiasts. This marks the first time the event has been held in Guangzhou, combining thrilling matches with an immersive esports carnival.

The tournament, running from May 1 to May 4, brings together top teams from four international regions: AUR (Türkiye region), EVAC (Indonesia region), A7 (Latin America region), and TS (Eastern Europe & Central Asia region), competing against four Chinese teams, namely YBG, DFYG, RLG, and RA. With a total prize pool of 1 million RMB, the competition is fierce.

As the highest-tier event in the domestic esports ecosystem of Mobile Legends: Bang Bang, which covers 55 countries and regions with 150 million registered users, this tournament is the first global tournament to be permanently hosted in China, serving as a platform for professional players to showcase their skills and as a bridge for international esports cultural exchange.

The Chinese qualifying stage saw S2 professional invitation teams and eight qualifiers engage in BO3 single-round robin matches. The top two teams from each group advanced to the offline tournament.

From May 1 to 2, Chinese and international breakout matches kicked off, with teams divided into two groups for single-round BO1 matches to secure semifinal spots. The semifinals on May 3 will follow a BO5 single-elimination format, with winners advancing to the BO7 final on May 4.

During the tournament, numerous offline activities are also arranged, where participants can collect stamps at various booths to win prizes, integrating esports and tourism to provide an unforgettable experience for players and fans alike.
