The 2nd China (Yunfu, Guangdong)-RCEP Industrial Cooperation Conference will be held on October 17th in Yunfu, Guangdong. With the theme "Deepening RCEP Industrial Cooperation and Actively Expand Regional Business Opportunities," the conference aims to highlight Yunfu's economic vitality, strategic location, abundant resources, rich cultural heritage, and investment potential. The event seeks to attract high-quality resources from RCEP member countries and strengthen Yunfu's "circle of friends," driving higher-level and broader international cooperation.

Yunfu, often referred to as the "birthplace of Lingnan culture," boasts a rich cultural history dating back 800,000 years, as evidenced by archaeological findings at the Modao Mountain site. It is also known as "China's Stone Capital," with a stone industry that has a history of more than 400 years. Over time, Yunfu has developed into a major industrial city in Guangdong, with flourishing sectors in stainless steel production, stone materials processing, and modern agriculture. The city's strategic location and robust infrastructure make it an attractive destination for international trade, especially under the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP).

Key highlights of the conference
The conference has garnered widespread attention, attracting over 500 participants, including government officials from RCEP member countries and trade representatives from nations such as Laos, Cambodia, Thailand, Singapore, Brunei, and Malaysia. It also includes notable business figures, representatives from domestic and international trade associations, as well as media personnel.
The unveiling of the provincial-level RCEP Enterprise Service Center and the RCEP Industry Academy will be significant milestones. The service center will provide businesses based in Yunfu with comprehensive support in navigating RCEP markets by offering legal, tax, and financial services. Meanwhile, the RCEP Industry Academy will focus on training a new generation of professionals in fields like cross-border e-commerce, modern logistics management, and marketing to align with Yunfu's goal of exporting its industrial brands globally.
Another major highlight is the official launch of the Yunfu Cross-border E-commerce Customs Clearance Center. This center aims to create a seamless, intelligent logistics and customs clearance system, integrating warehousing, sorting, customs, and shipping services. As a result , it will enhance Yunfu's role in the cross-border e-commerce industry within Guangdong province.

Following the conference, a series of events will be held. These include the 2nd Yunfu (Xinxing) Metal Intelligent Manufacturing Industry & Stainless Steel Tableware & Kitchenware Expo, the 21st Yunfu International Stone Materials Sci & Tech Fair, and the 15th Yunfu Stone Culture Festival. These events will further expand the influence of Yunfu's stainless steel and stone industries and provide attendees with a more immersive and engaging experience.
