GD online hospitals serve an average of over 60,000 patients per day

As of January 4, 160 Internet hospitals have joined the Yuejiantong (粤健通) WeChat Service Platform. Statistics show that online medical services have covered 1,246,800 people between December 12 and 31, 2022, with a daily average of 62,400 patients.

The platform is now only in Chinese, however, users can register with their valid identity certificates, such as Foreign Permanent Resident ID Card.

Hospitals on the platform include general hospitals, traditional Chinese medicine hospitals, and others that specialize in gynecology, pediatrics, stomatology, dermatology, ophthalmology, oncology, occupational health and more.

Guangdong has introduced the platform to make it easier for residents to access medical treatment. Having logged in, residents can choose an Internet hospital, and receive medical advice and prescription services from medical professionals.

Such a practice significantly eases the strain on Guangdong outpatient clinics and lowers patients' risk of cross-infection when seeking medical attention in hospitals.

To date, all of the Grade III hospitals (top grade) in Guangdong have established Internet hospitals, providing residents with both online and offline integrated healthcare services.
