According to Guangzhou Metro, the express trains of Line 18 will make an additional stop at Nancun Wanbo Station starting September 28.
After the adjustment, the express trains of Line 18 will stop at an extra station—Nancun Wanbo—in addition to the original five stations: Wanqingsha, Hengli, Panyu Square, Modiesha, and Xiancun.
It will take only 12 minutes to travel from Nancun Wanbo to Xiancun by express train and about 7 minutes to Modiesha, saving 5 minutes compared to the regular trains. The departure schedule of Line 18 express trains will also be optimized accordingly.
To further improve travel guidance for passengers, Guangzhou Metro will simultaneously adjust the PIDS screens at Nancun Wanbo Station on the same day, adding "Express" in white letters on a green background. Passengers will be able to more intuitively and quickly distinguish between express and regular trains through the information display screens above the platform screen doors.
Additionally, the train arrival announcements and voice broadcasts in the station halls and on platforms will include reminders about express and regular trains. Passengers can pay attention to the departure times of both express and regular trains through in-station broadcasts, electronic guidance, and platform display screens.
Guangzhou Metro reminds passengers that the actual arrival time of express trains may vary according to the operation and organization of the line. The express train schedule is for reference only. It is recommended that passengers allow sufficient time for entering the station and waiting, and refer to the on-site broadcasts and platform display screens for train arrival information.
