The opening ceremony of the 19thAsian Games will be held on September 23 in Hangzhou, capital city of east China's Zhejiang Province.
According to Xinhua News Agency, Chinese President Xi Jinping will attend the opening ceremony and declare the Games open.
On September 22, apress conference was held at the Main Media Center (MMC) of the 19thHangzhou Asian Games. Officials from Olympic Council of Asia (OIC) and Hangzhou Asian Games Organizing Committee (HAGOC) introduced the preparation of the Asian Games.

"We are so proud to have these wonderful facilitates, such as the beautiful media center and one of the best athletes village that I have seen," said Raja Randhir Singh, OCA Acting President.

"It is a wonderful job and I am sure we will have some excellent results," he added.
While talking about the understanding of the Slogan "heart to heart, @future", Mr. Singh stated that it shows the message to the world that everything begins from the heart and then it will lead to world peace and to a harmony world eventually.
"Harmony is the feature of the Hangzhou Asian Games," said Wei Jizhong, OCA Honorary Life Vice President. "We are a family and the Asian Games is a family gathering."

"Hangzhou people welcome all the overseas participants," he stressed.
Chen Weiqiang, Chief Spokesperson of Hangzhou Asian Games briefly introduced the opening ceremony of the Asian Games, saying, "the opening ceremony will show friendship between China, Asia and the world through 3 parts, including Chinese culture, culture along Qiantang River and global unity"
According to Xinhua News Agency, around 50,000 participants will attend the opening ceremony, more than 1,200 volunteers will be on hand to offer guidance and assistance.
