A wave of cold air is forecast to bring heavy rain and a temperature drop of 3℃ to 5℃ to Guangdong from the evening of September 14 to 16, according to Guangdong Meteorological Observatory.
On September 15, heavy rain will fall on Qingyuan, Shaoguan, Heyuan and the Pearl River Delta. The highs will stay around 27℃ to 29℃ in east Guangdong, 24℃ to 26℃ in the remaining areas.
On September 16, moderate thunderstorms and localized torrential rain are expected for Meizhou, east Guangdong, and southern Pearl River Delta. The rest of the province will see cloudy skies with showers. The highs will be 27℃ to 30℃ in Shaoguan, Qingyuan, west Guangdong and western Pearl River Delta, 25℃ to 26℃ in the remaining areas.
On September 17, most parts of the province will be cloudy with scattered thundershowers.
