Stroll around car boot sales during National Day holiday

When night falls in Guangzhou, the hustle and bustle of the city still go on at some bustling commercial plazas, old streets, and the banks of the Pearl River. Residents and cars parking in a neat line swarm a local car boot sale bazaar.

During the National Day holiday, how about strolling around car boot fairs to greet your nightlife? Here are some recommended sites to have a bazaar experience after dark.

Fuxuexi Street (府学西街)

Recently, Fuxuexi Road in Yuexiu District, a quiet historic street, turns into an Instagrammable car boot sale at night on weekends and holidays, attracting many young visitors. Car owners who have obtained the necessary business licenses will hang up signboards, switch on colorful belts of lights, and prepare drinks or snacks to welcome customers.

In addition, there are also some pet charity stalls, where proceeds from the sale of pet food, dolls, and unused items will be used to fund the rescue of stray animals.

Fangcun Pier (省航芳村码头)

In the evening, car boot stalls appear one after another next to the Fangcun Pier, with the alluring smell of food. You will find lemon tea, coffee, bean jelly, barbecue, and other snacks. Moreover, just in front of the pier is a long causeway where street performers will occasionally sing for tourists. There's nothing better than a stroll along the Pearl River, then chatting with a group of friends while enjoying the river breeze and view.
