On November 14, Guangzhou reported 147 locally transmitted confirmed COVID-19 cases and 4977 asymptomatic infections.
According to Zhang Yi, deputy head of the Guangzhou Municipal Health Commission, patients with COVID-19 were sent to designated hospitals, sub-designated hospitals, and makeshift hospitals in a closed-loop for isolation, observation, and treatment, depending on their condition.

"On November 14, Guangzhou reported 5,124 new local COVID-19 infections, of which 30 were detected at the community level and the remaining 99 percent of infections were detected during quarantine, in high-risk areas or among key people under closed-loop management," said Zhang Yi, at the press conference on November 15.
The new cases are still concentrated in the Kanglu area in Haizhu District. Some areas of Jiaopian and Guitian (滘片、桂田) were adjusted to low-risk areas. Temporary control measures have lifted in 6 sub-districts, including Chigang sub-district, Ruibao sub-district and Jianghai sub-district (赤岗街、瑞宝街、江海街).
In terms of life supplies, Guangzhou delivered a total of 1,022,000 daily supplies packages, weighing 3,021 tons to the Haizhu controlled areas for free.
In addition, Haizhu District set up 47 spots for providing medical services for patients with general diseases in the controlled areas. More than 260 medical workers are on duty around the clock.
Guangzhou has built 6 makeshift hospitals with more than 20,000 beds and 4,000 medical staff, mainly for the quarantine of asymptomatic patients.

Shenzhen reports 1+4 asymptomatic cases
On November 14, Shenzhen added 1 confirmed case and 2 asymptomatic cases. Among the cases, 1 was detected in the centralized quarantine, 2 in domestic quarantine, 1 in the key population under closed-loop management, and 1 in the coordinated screening across districts.
Dongguan detects 20 asymptomatic infections
On November 14, Dongguan added 20 asymptomatic cases, with 7 detected during centralized quarantine, 2 in home quarantine, 3 in the screening of close contacts, 2 in the screening of key population under closed-loop management, 2 in the screening of key population under non-closed loop management, and 4 in the detection at the community level.
Huizhou adds 1 confirmed case and 2 asymptomatic cases
On November 14, Huiyang District reported 1 asymptomatic case, who came from another provincial region and was detected during centralized quarantine. From 11:00 to 24:00, Huizhou added 1 newly confirmed case (in HZZK Hi-tech Industrial Development Zone) and 1 asymptomatic infection (in Huiyang District). Both of the cases were detected in centralized quarantine.
Zhongshan detects 1 confirmed case and 8 asymptomatic cases
On November 14, Zhongshan reports 5 asymptomatic cases, all detected among close contacts under centralized quarantine. From 8:00 to 18:00, Zhongshan reported 1 confirmed case (mild type) and 3 asymptomatic cases.
Yangjiang reports 6 new cases
On November 14, Jiangcheng Districta dded 3 confirmed cases, all detected in the screening of close contacts. Yangdong District reported 2 newly confirmed cases and 1 asymptomatic case.
Maoming adds 4 newly confirmed cases and 2 asymptomatic cases
On November 14, Maonan District detected 2 confirmed cases and 1 asymptomatic case in the screening of key population under closed-loop management and the screening of arrivals from other provincial regions. Gaozhou reported 2 confirmed cases during centralized quarantine. Huazhou added 1 new positive case.
Zhaoqing detects 1 person with an abnormal nucleic acid test result
On November 14, Duanzhou District detected 1 person with abnormal nucleic test result when the individual sought medical treatment in the fever clinic. The case has been in quarantine for observation.
