On October 4, Guangdong reported 28 new locally-transmitted confirmed COVID-19 cases (8 in Guangzhou, 11 in Shenzhen, 2 in Foshan, 1 in Shantou, 1 in Shaoguan, 3 in Huizhou and 2 in Jiangmen) and 24 new local asymptomatic infections (5 in Guangzhou, 10 in Shenzhen, 1 in Zhuhai, 1 in Foshan, 3 in Huizhou, and 4 in Dongguan).

Guangzhou reported 8 new local cases and 5 asymptomatic cases
According to Guangzhou Municipal Health Commission, 8 confirmed cases and 5 asymptomatic infections were detected among people under quarantine. The patients have already been sent to the Eighth People's Hospital of Guangzhou Medical University in a closed-loop for further treatment in stable conditions.

Liwan District runs a mass-screening in 13 streets on October 5
According to Liwan’s government, all residents who live in Jinhua 金花, Xicun 西村, Nanyuan 南源, Pengfeng 逢源, Duobao 多宝, Changhua 昌华, Lingnan 岭南, Hualin 华林, Shamian 沙面, Longjin 龙津, Caihong 彩虹, Zhanqian 站前, Qiaozhong 桥中 Streets are required to take a nucleic acid test in designated points. The mass-screening started from 9 am on October5.
Shenzhen detected 11+10 confirmed cases
On October 5, 11 confirmed cases and 10 asymptomatic cases were reported. 14 cases were found among the close contacts under quarantine, 1 in the screening of key population in high-risk areas, 1 in the domestic-quarantine, 2 in the screening of key population in non-closed-loop and 3 in the community-based screening. The above cases have been transferred to the emergency ward of the Third People's Hospital of Shenzhen for further treatment.

Shenzhen Metro suspended these stations:
From October 5, Shenzhen Metro temporary suspended Line 1/3 Laojie Station 老街站, Line 2 Hubei Station 湖贝站, Line 3 Shaibu Station 晒布站, Caopu Station 草埔站 and Line 5 Buxin Station 布心站. Passengers can still transfer Line1/3 in Laojie Station.
