Global media dive into Guangzhou's vibrant cultural and economic landscape with GDToday

From November 6 to 9, the GDToday Salon Sharing Session on Foreign Trade, Foreign Investment, Outsourcing, Foreign Economic Cooperation, and Foreign Intellectual Resources takes place in Guangzhou, alongside an international media exchange event. Editors and journalists from prominent media outlets such as Indonesia's Antara News Agency, Macau Business, and Hong Kong's South China Morning Post gathered to explore Guangzhou's dynamic industries and its rich cultural heritage in the Greater Bay Area.

The event featured tours of high-tech companies and culturally significant sites, including the Thirteen Hongs Museum, the Nanhai Community in Yuexiu District, Guangdong Herbal Tea Museum and the Tech Enterprise Accelerator Park in the Guangzhou Development Zone. It offers international journalists an in-depth look into Guangzhou's unique blend of tradition and innovation. Michael Teguh Adiputra Siaahan, a journalist from Antara News Agency, remarked, "This is my first time in Guangzhou, and it's an incredible city. The local people are open and kind, and the city has a long history." He also highlighted the historical trade connections between China and Indonesia, dating back to the 18th century.

José Carlos Matias, Director of Macau Business and Business Intelligence magazines, expressed his excitement at witnessing Guangzhou's rapid transformation over the years, stating, "I first visited in 2004, and I've seen huge development since then. Now, every year, I join some events or tours and get to know the city better." Matias emphasized that such exchanges deepen understanding of the Greater Bay Area and foster ideas for future cooperation.

The event underscored Guangzhou's appeal as both an economic hub and a cultural center, offering international journalists firsthand experience of the city's forward-looking development and potential for cross-border collaboration.
